October 19, 2015 Yes I'm Still Alive!

Hey everyone, sorry I didn´t write last week...I had no time haha. Looong story....but hey guess what? I got my hair dyed....yep....I´m a little bit blonde now.... :) We also had interviews with the mission President this week and I can officially send you the pic of my new comp :) haha, it´s actually a pretty funny story :)

So, my companion is Sister Sanchez. She is actually the missionary that I sat by when we were leaving the MTC...so yeah, we got here at the same time but I go home before her because she already spoke spanish before and was only in the MTC for 2 weeks :) But anyway, Sister Sanchez was here in Tehuacan before, just in a different ward. She and her companion were our Sister Leaders but her companion finished her mission and is now home and Sister Sanchez told me that she and her comp both had transfers...so yeah, all of us who had transfers got all ready and we traveled to Puebla and we were all there taking pictures with everyone that we knew because we never know what is going to happen in the transfers haha :) but anyway so I was all like, Sister Sanchez! We have to take a picture together! And so we did haha :) But yeah after all the pictures and all that stuff, we all go in to the chapel and we listen to President and the testimonies of one new missionary and one missionary that is going home and all that right. After all that stuff, we listen to the transfers that Pres gives us. So he tells us "Alright, the zone Tehuacan. In the area Libertad (my ward/area) Sister Walker as Sister Leader 1 and as her companion: Sister Sanchez from Tehuacan." And when he said that I was all...."Enserio!?" translated: "Are you serious!?" Yes, I did actually say it out loud haha :) I was super surprised and super happy :) She is my first american companion since my training haha :) And she is actually Mexican who was born in the United States and speaks perfect English and Spanish haha :) So yeah it is pretty cool :) I will attach a picture of us :) But, the worst...or best part about it all is that....Sister Sanchez TOTALLY knew the WHOLE time that I was going to be her companion and she didn´t tell my ANYTHING! so yeah, whatever :) It´s also really cool because I have the chance to be the Sister Leader of my daughter and my granddaughter :) it´s going to be fun! :) We´re going to take a three generation pic tomorrow and I´ll send it next week :)

Well, the only other thing that I can really think of to tell you guys this week is that Dulce is going to be baptized this Wednesday! We are super excited :) She is great and she is so ready! It is going to be really beautiful and we are super happy for her...and yeah, just really really happy :) I´ll send the pics of her baptism next week as well :) I love you guys and hope you all have a great week! I challenge you to read your favorite talk from conference and follow the counsels that it gives throughout the week! You will see great changes in your lives and start feeling closer to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because the words that were spoken in that conference are His words and they are His counsels.

I know this gospel is true and I love it with all my heart. Until next week!

Love, Hermana Walker
